Beyond the food, the drinks menu cleverly complements the meal with a range of soft drinks including the lively Japanese soda Ramune and soothing Hot Green Tea, making every sip a thoughtful counterpart to your sushi experience. For those who like to bring their own wine, the $15 corkage fee is a considerate option that fits nicely into the Kinza hospitality ethos.
What truly elevates Kinza Sushi and Asian Izakaya is its devotion to authenticity, freshness, and customer care. Real wasabi, an extremely rare find in the U.S., adds a clean, pungent heat that sharpens the flavor profile of each bite. Customers consistently rave about the knowledgeable and hospitable staff, especially Chef Ken, whose careful selection and omakase offerings turn a meal into a memorable culinary event. Even on a busy night, the team ensures you feel valued and never rushed, as shared by guests who left with full hearts and satisfied palates.

Best Sushi in the Santa Clarita valley. The restaurant is super cool because it has a sort of loft vibe going and it makes it fun. The people working there are suuuuuper kind, always.
Ended up trying this place based off Yelp reviews. We wanted to eat sushi based off the request of the birthday girl We came straight after an entire day at Six Flags Magic Mountain so we were tired and hungry! It's a popular place so make a reservation or be prepared to wait a little. We were a party of 4 and waited about 20 minutes for a table. We were seated upstairs and be ready to be super indecisive about what to order. The menu is a HUGE list of sushi rolls which is definitely my kind of place! And if you don't know what to get but know what you do want in a roll, they will make it for you! I didn't go with this option and chose their sushi dinner, Nik n Tara roll, and heart attack app. The sushi was fresh and I only needed to chew the rice. My roll was yummy but the heart attack app (its a jalapeno popper) was too spicy bc they don't gut out the seeds. You need to with jalapeños or expect to be sweating the heat. My daughter , the bday girl, seemed to enjoy her rolls (dragon roll and Nemo roll) and she even got a complimentary banana tempura with ice cream dessert for her bday. I loved that. My bff ordered 5 rolls for her and her 12 year old son to share. Nothing was left from her side lol. She thought the Sexy Lady was too spicy for her but I thought it wasn't that spicy. Our server was great and was friendly and silly. The only con is it's a busy place in a small space. They should definitely expand. Seems like a lot of people love it here.
The food we ordered was nothing to rave about. My Udon soup had no flavor until I added a bit of soy sauce. The Ele roll was well i couldn't taste any of the Ele in the sushi roll
REAL, FRESH WASABI. Almost no Sushi spot in the US has real Wasabi because the shelf life is minutes after grating. They also have fresh, locally sourced Uni, which is also incredibly rare. Best Sushi spot in the area. Other places charge double or more, and don't have as good of a selection or knowledgeable staff. Chef Ken was extremely hospitable and made wonderful selections for the Omakase. I went 4 different times during my stay in the area.
Let me tell that not too many people care about their customers these days. Kinza staff were on point. Took us on wirh only 15 minutes left on the clock and we got the full service, not even being rushed. On top of that, the rolls were amazing. The Laker roll, the hell of fire, the diamond roll, monkey brains, all were a hit! I only wish we could have had more time enjoy more food, but we left satisfied with food and service. We opted to sit outside and all was well worth it. Will come again and highly recommend it!
This is one of the best Japanese restaurants I have experienced. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and the laid back atmosphere inside or the shaded patio on the outside makes Kinza a place for every occasion. This time we celebrated a birthday and it was a great choice
The sushi was really good.. the shiny was pretty good as well, our favorite though was the Happy Roll.. just go and try it!! We were not very happy with the service thus the 4 stars.. the place was pretty busy yes.. but it took a quite some time to get our orders, more time to bring the food.. and even more for the bills. We also had to explain three times that we needed to pay the alcohol separately, since we have to expense the food at work without the beers. Long story short, if you are patient and you have time to spare, by all means, yes go try the food!!
My daughter and I are on a road trip, and we discovered this little gem of a restaurant next to the hotel we were staying at. We were greeted by very sweet and gracious ladies. It was busy, but we were seated rather quickly. One of the waitresses came in and made small talk while she took our order, and we became aware that she spoke Thai and I was from Thailand. She made us feel super welcomed and extended a hospitality that was above what I expected at any restaurant. The sushi rolls were excellent, so much so that we even came back the next night for dinner. Our favorite sushi is the Cucumber Wrap, so refreshing and delicious! My daughter commented that this is her favorite sushi restaurant, and we eat a lot of sushi in the Bay Area. On our next trip back to SoCal, we are definitely coming back again.
